A Brief History

Gould Radiators was established in 1964, when Mike Gould started a company to repair radiators, the business expanded its activities and in 1974 the manufacture of number plates was introduced. Steady expansion and growth was achieved by maintaining a high level of service, quality products and competitive pricing. Today as Gould Autoplates & Signs, we are one of the largest number plate suppliers in the UK.

A Brief History

Gould Radiators was established in 1964, when Mike Gould started a company to repair radiators, the business expanded its activities and in 1974 the manufacture of number plates was introduced. Steady expansion and growth was achieved by maintaining a high level of service, quality products and competitive pricing. Today as Gould Autoplates & Signs, we are one of the largest number plate suppliers in the UK.

In 1986 the company took the opportunity to form a new company 'Gould Autoplates & Signs Ltd.' specializing in the production of external and internal signs, vehicle liveries, banners, window graphics and many other applications of vinyl, steel and acrylic substrates. A similar level of growth was achieved using the same formula for success, and as a result we are now one of the largest number plate suppliers in the UK.

After many years of growth and development, we out grew our Bristol offices and had to look for a new home. We needed somewhere that could handle the many large deliveries and collections that were becoming part of the daily routine and we needed larger storage areas, so we moved to our new home in Nailsea, located on the south west side of Bristol with excellent links to the motorways M4 & M5, only 5 minuets from Bristol.

The 5000 square foot unit has enabled us to build an internal vehicle fitting bay large enough to accommodate the largest vehicles, double our number plate storage capacity, add a pallet delivery service for our overseas and larger customers, and many other exciting possibilities.

We pride ourselves on our reputation and attention to detail, which we believe has helped to gain contracts for a large number of companies, projects ranging from the sign installation at the Bristol International Airport, vehicle livery suppliers to many large and prestigious companies, car mat and vehicle branding supplier to various car leasing companies, banner and sign supplier to Bristol city council, Number plate supplier to well over 2000 local and national Garages and companies.
